Biographical Sketch:
Bill Hanley is responsible for TPT’s local programming, production, and education and outreach activities. Bill has been with TPT since 1978, serving in a series of progressively responsible production and management positions. In 1983, Bill was promoted to Executive Producer for News & Public Affairs to oversee the creation of Almanac; in 1993 he became the Vice President of News & Public Affairs. He is currently overseeing development of TPT's largest-ever community partnership initiative, the Minnesota Collaborative which includes a significant number of programs created to bring culturally specific health information to a variety of ethnic communities. Along with specific program creation and oversight, Bill has been responsible for creating and maintaining critical business and community partnerships including those with the Star Tribune and the Minnesota Legislature. Bill was born and raised in the Chicago area and earned his BA in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science from Drake University in 1975.
