Biographical Sketch: Beth Averbeck, MD, Associate Medical Director for Care Improvement, has been a practicing internist for 16 years. She has over ten years of leadership experience in clinic and hospital operations as well as quality improvement. She has been involved in HealthPartners Medical Group's Pursuing Perfection Project, funded by The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and led by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement. Her interests include incorporating improvement activities into daily operations, providing decision support to physicians and patients, and aligning incentives for improved patient care and experience. She is the Co-Chair of AMGA’s Quality Leadership Council.
