Biographical Sketch: Julie Armin, MA, is qualitative data manager for the health literacy project and a doctoral student in sociocultural and medical anthropology at the University of Arizona. Prior to returning to graduate school, she worked in health care communications, public education, and advocacy. Her master's thesis research examined how an African American cancer support group addresses inequalities of health care in one major U.S. city.
