Biographical Sketch: Heidi Allen, MSW staffs the Health Equities Committee of the Oregon Health Fund Board (OHFB). Established in 2007 by the Healthy Oregon Act, the Health Fund Board is charged with the development of a systemic health reform plan for Oregon. The Board will make final recommendations to the Oregon Legislature by the end of 2008. Ms. Allen’s other duties for the Office for Oregon Health Policy & Research include directing the state Medicaid Advisory Committee and the Oregon Health Research & Evaluation Collaborative. Prior to working in health policy and research, Heidi worked as an emergency department social worker in an urban medical center for five years. She plans to complete a Ph.D in Social Work and Social Research in Spring 2008.
