Biographical Sketch: Jessica Abeita received her masters in public health from Tulane University School of Public Health in 2006. She currently works as the Assistant Director of Research Administration & Community Outreach with the Prevent Cancer Foundation. In this position with the Foundation, she oversees the research grants and fellowships program and is project manager of Celebremos la Vida and the State Fairs Health Awareness/Screening program. Prior to her work with the Prevent Cancer Foundation, Ms. Abeita had worked on a needs assessment for Native American women incarcerated in a New Mexico’s women’s prison and worked for the California Vaccines for Children program.
