Special Session III Engaging ethnic media marketing to reduce health disparities

"Conversations with Al McFarlane" proposes to conduct its regular public policy forum as a special live broadcast from the Quality Health Care for Culturally Diverse Populations conference. The broadcast can be heard on KFAI90.3fm, at KFAI.org, and is webcast at Helloworld.com. The broadcast will features interviews with leaders in media and in health services and health policy on the role of ethnic media in health disparities reduction. Discussions explore the meaning and evidence of cultural competence, and analysis of best practices in ethnic marketing and health promotion. Panelists include owners of Asian, African American, African, Latino and American Indian media. Panelists interact with representatives of institutions with stellar outcomes using ethnic media engaging and serving people of color, who will join the discussion via videoconference.
