Dialogue Session 5 YOUR VOICE: What matters? What's next? -- Culturally competent workforce - A

Get to know your colleagues better while you discuss issues of common concern and help develop an agenda for the future of the field. These 2-hour networking and dialogue sessions will start with a speed networking exercise from 10:00 - 10:15.  After a brief introduction to the format and the two themes, participants will meet in small discussion groups, and all come together at the end to report out.

Cultural Competence/Disparity Reduction Training and Diverse Workforce, including

  • Health professions school programs
  • Continuing education/on-the-job learning
  • Distance learning
  • Training trainers
  • Ancillary staff programs
  • Leadership development/training
  • Assessing learning/performance on cultural competence/disparity reduction 
  • Recruitment of bilingual/bicultural individuals into health professions training programs
  • Recruitment/management of bilingual/bicultural individuals staff
  • Management of foreign health workers
